Dutch people speak English as their second language
Dutch people are well-known for their English language skills. In fact, the Netherlands has one of the worlds highest levels of English proficiency (second place in 2018) among non-native speaking countries.

The Dutch created the orange carrots
Dutch carrot growers developed orange carrots a few hundred years back through careful breeding of existing varieties. The familiar orange colour only appeared in the 17th century
